DAV Crow Wing County Chapter # 22

WELCOME TO DAV CROW WING COUNTY CHAPTER  #22 COLOR GUARD

COLOR GUARD

Chapter 22 has the unique distinction of being the only Color Guard active in the DAV in Minnesota. The unit was started in 2007 and our first function was marching in the 2008 Memorial Day Parade in Brainerd. Since that time we have acquired uniforms, spring and fall jackets, Rifles for our firing squad and an automated bugle for playing taps. The Color Guard has participated in local functions for the State DAV fall conference in Baxter MN, as well as Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day activities in Brainerd.

HONOR GUARD

The unit has been Honored and Privileged to provided Honor Guard services  (known as "The Memorial Rifles") for our fallen veteran comrades at the State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls as well as acting as pallbearers for funerals.

Below is the hat that has been given to all active Honor Guard Members of the Memorial Rifle Squad at the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
